How To Remove A Bathtub Drain?

Remove the drain stopper or strainer

Clean out any debris around the drain

Insert a drain wrench or drain key into the crossbars

Turn the drain counterclockwise to loosen it

Use pliers or a screwdriver if the drain has slots or screws

Apply penetrating oil if the drain is stuck
