Push the cork into the bottle with a blunt utensil
Use a key or serrated knife to twist and pull the cork out
Drive a screw into the cork, then pull it out with pliers
Wrap the bottle neck with a towel and tap the cork out carefully
Use a shoe to gently bang the bottle against a wall
Heat the bottle neck slightly to loosen the cork
Use a wire hanger bent into a hook to catch and pull the cork
Use a pump-style bottle opener if available
Break the cork apart and remove it piece by piece
Filter the wine if cork bits fall into the bottle
