Turn off the device and unplug it
Ground yourself to reduce static electricity
Check the keyboard type and key mechanism
Use a keycap puller if available
Place the puller around the keycap
Pull straight up gently
If no puller is available, use a flat tool carefully
Lift the key evenly from both sides
Remove the keycap without twisting
Keep the key and parts in a safe place
Reattach the key by aligning it and pressing it back into place
