Trim the acrylic nails as short as possible
File the top layer to break the seal and remove shine
Protect the skin around your nails with petroleum jelly
Soak cotton balls in 100% acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil
Wait 20 to 30 minutes
Check one nail and gently push the softened acrylic off with a cuticle pusher
Rewrap and soak longer if the acrylic is still firm
Buff away remaining residue gently
Wash your hands thoroughly
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream
Stop if you feel pain, burning, or severe irritation
