Turn off the device
Unplug the charger or power cable
Remove the back cover or battery compartment cover
Locate the battery
Disconnect any battery connector if present
Release any clips, tabs, or screws holding the battery
Lift the battery out carefully
Dispose of or store the battery properly if needed
