Turn off the dishwasher at the circuit breaker
Shut off the water supply to the dishwasher
Turn off the garbage disposal if the dishwasher drains into it
Remove the toe kick panel
Disconnect the electrical wiring
Disconnect the water supply line
Disconnect the drain hose
Remove the mounting brackets or screws securing the dishwasher to the countertop or cabinet
Lower the dishwasher slightly if needed
Slide the dishwasher out carefully
Remove any remaining brackets, shims, or fasteners
Cap or secure the water and drain lines as needed
