Blot up any excess with a clean paper towel or cloth
Rinse the stained area with cold water
Apply a small amount of mild liquid detergent or enzyme stain remover
Gently rub the fabric together or use a soft brush
Let it sit for 5 to 15 minutes
Rinse again with cold water
Wash the item according to the care label
Check that the stain is gone before drying
Repeat the treatment if needed
Avoid hot water and machine drying until the stain is fully removed
