File off the top coat and any gel polish
Protect the skin around your nails with petroleum jelly
Soak cotton balls in acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with foil or use nail clips
Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes
Check one nail and gently push the softened extension off with a cuticle pusher
Rewrap and soak again if the extension is not lifting
Do not force or pry the extension off
Buff away remaining product gently
Wash your hands with soap and water
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream after removal
