Leave the pit in the half you want to store
Brush or squeeze a little lemon or lime juice over the exposed flesh
Wrap the cut side tightly with plastic wrap
Press the wrap directly against the surface to limit air exposure
Place the wrapped avocado in an airtight container
Refrigerate it immediately
Store it cut-side down if possible
Use it within 1 to 2 days for best quality
Remove any browned surface before eating if needed
