Blot up any wet polish immediately with a clean paper towel or cloth
Do not rub the stain
Scrape off any dried excess with a dull knife or spoon
Test acetone or nail polish remover on a hidden carpet area first
Apply a small amount of acetone or non-oily nail polish remover to a clean white cloth
Dab the stain gently from the outside toward the center
Switch to a clean cloth as the polish transfers
Repeat until the stain lifts
Blot the area with a cloth dampened with cold water
Apply a small amount of mild dish soap mixed with water
Blot again to remove residue
Rinse with cold water and blot dry
Place paper towels over the area and press to absorb moisture
Let the carpet air-dry completely
Vacuum the area once dry to restore texture
