Read the Hoover carpet cleaner manual
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly
Move furniture out of the area
Fill the clean water tank with warm water
Add Hoover carpet cleaning solution as directed
Secure the tank back onto the machine
Plug in the cleaner
Turn the machine on
Test on a small hidden area first
Pull the cleaner forward slowly while pressing the solution trigger
Release the trigger on the return pass
Overlap each pass slightly
Empty and refill the dirty water tank as needed
Repeat until the carpet is clean
Let the carpet dry completely
Rinse the tanks and clean the machine after use
