Put on gloves
Remove any solid pieces with paper towels or a spoon
Blot up excess liquid with paper towels or a clean cloth
Sprinkle baking soda or cornstarch over the area
Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Vacuum up the powder
Mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water
Dampen a clean cloth with the solution
Blot the stained area gently
Repeat with clean cloths until the stain lifts
Blot with plain water to remove soap residue
Dry the area with clean towels
Place a fan over the spot to help it dry
Sprinkle baking soda again if odor remains
Vacuum once fully dry
