Vacuum the carpet thoroughly before cleaning
Check the carpet care label and test the cleaner on a small hidden area
Read the carpet cleaner’s instructions and fill the machine with water and cleaning solution as directed
Move furniture out of the way if possible
Start at the farthest corner of the room and work backward toward the exit
Press the trigger or activate the solution spray while moving the cleaner slowly forward
Release the trigger and make a slow backward pass to extract water and dirt
Overlap each pass slightly to cover the entire area evenly
Repeat on heavily soiled areas if needed
Empty and refill the dirty water tank as needed
Allow the carpet to dry completely before walking on it or replacing furniture
Run fans or open windows to speed up drying
Clean the machine after use and empty all tanks
Store the carpet cleaner according to the manufacturer’s instructions
