Read the user manual for your specific Hoover carpet cleaner model
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly before cleaning
Fill the clean water tank with warm water
Add the recommended Hoover cleaning solution
Secure the tank back onto the machine
Plug in the carpet cleaner
Turn the power on
Select the appropriate cleaning mode if available
Press the trigger to release cleaning solution while pushing forward slowly
Release the trigger and pull the machine back slowly to extract water
Overlap each pass slightly for even cleaning
Repeat on heavily soiled areas as needed
Empty the dirty water tank when it gets full
Refill the clean water tank as needed
Allow the carpet to dry completely before walking on it
Rinse and clean the tanks and attachments after use
Let all parts dry before storing the machine
