Let the cleaner sit for the time listed on the label
Blot or rinse as directed by the product instructions
Repeat the treatment if the smell remains
For carpets, clean both the surface and the padding if needed
For upholstery, test the cleaner on a hidden spot first
For hard floors, clean the area thoroughly and dry it completely
Use baking soda on dry, cleaned areas to help absorb odor
Vacuum up the baking soda after several hours or overnight
Wash removable fabrics, bedding, or covers with pet-safe detergent
Add white vinegar to the wash if the fabric care label allows it
Avoid using ammonia-based cleaners
Use a black light to find hidden urine spots
Clean hidden spots immediately with an enzymatic cleaner
