Shut off the water supply
Open a faucet to relieve pressure
Identify the release collar on the SharkBite fitting
Use a SharkBite disconnect clip or disconnect tongs sized for the pipe
Slide the disconnect tool onto the pipe and into the fitting
Press the release collar evenly toward the fitting body
Hold the collar in place
Pull the pipe straight out of the fitting
Repeat for each connected pipe
Inspect the pipe end for damage
Cut off any scratched or deformed section before reusing the pipe
Replace the fitting if it is damaged or worn
Turn the water back on and check for leaks
