Scrape off any excess sauce with a spoon or dull knife
Rinse the stain with cold water from the back of the fabric
Apply liquid laundry detergent or dish soap directly to the stain
Gently rub the fabric together or use a soft brush
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Rinse thoroughly with cold water
Repeat the detergent treatment if the stain remains
For stubborn stains, apply a stain remover or a paste of baking soda and water
Wash the item in the hottest water safe for the fabric
Check that the stain is gone before drying
Air-dry the item if any stain remains
Repeat the process if needed before machine drying
