Tilt your head to the side and let gravity drain the water
Gently pull the earlobe down and back while tilting your head
Lie on your side with the affected ear facing down
Open and close your jaw or chew to help release trapped water
Create a gentle vacuum by cupping your palm over the ear and pressing lightly
Use a warm compress against the ear for a few minutes
Try a hair dryer on the lowest setting, held at a safe distance
Use a few drops of rubbing alcohol or a drying ear drop if appropriate
Avoid inserting cotton swabs, fingers, or other objects into the ear
Seek medical help if pain, discharge, hearing loss, or blockage persists
