Soak the wart in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes before treatment
Gently file the dead surface skin with a disposable emery board or pumice stone
Apply the wart treatment only to the wart, not the surrounding skin
Cover the wart with a bandage or duct tape after treatment
Repeat daily until the wart is gone
Keep the area clean and dry between treatments
Do not pick, cut, or shave the wart
Wash your hands after touching the wart
Stop treatment if the skin becomes very irritated or painful
