How To Remove Windows Defender?

Open Windows Security

Go to Virus & threat protection

Select Manage settings

Turn off Real-time protection

Go to App & browser control

Turn off Reputation-based protection settings

Open Group Policy Editor

Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus

Open Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus

Set it to Enabled

Restart the computer

Open Registry Editor

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows Defender

Create or set DisableAntiSpyware to 1

Restart the computer

Use a third-party antivirus if you want Defender to stay disabled

Re-enable protection later by reversing the changes
