How to Repaint a Deck?

Mask nearby surfaces and protect plants or siding

Apply a primer if needed, especially on bare wood or patched areas

Stir the deck paint or stain thoroughly

Apply the first coat with a brush, roller, or sprayer

Work along the grain and maintain a wet edge

Let the first coat dry according to the product instructions

Apply a second coat if required

Allow the final coat to cure fully before heavy use

Reinstall furniture only after the surface is completely dry

Clean brushes, rollers, and tools immediately after use
