Gather a screwdriver, replacement doorknob, and any included screws or latch parts
Open the door and keep it steady
Remove the screws from the interior doorknob
Pull both sides of the doorknob apart
Remove the latch plate screws from the edge of the door
Slide the old latch out of the door
Insert the new latch into the edge of the door
Secure the latch plate with screws
Align the new exterior and interior doorknob halves through the door
Fasten the doorknob halves together with the provided screws
Test the knob to make sure it turns and latches properly
Tighten any loose screws if needed
