Disconnect the negative battery cable
Locate the alternator
Remove the drive belt
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the alternator
Remove the alternator mounting bolts
Remove the alternator from the engine bay
Compare the new alternator with the old one
Install the new alternator in place
Reinstall and tighten the mounting bolts
Reconnect the electrical connectors
Reinstall the drive belt
Check belt tension and alignment
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Start the engine and verify proper charging operation
