Fix the underlying airbag system fault first
Turn the ignition off
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Reconnect the battery terminal
Turn the ignition on and check the light
Use an OBD2 scanner with SRS capability to clear the code
Follow the scanner prompts to reset the airbag light
If the light returns, have the SRS system diagnosed by a qualified technician
