Open the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
Tap or click the Items tab
Select the AirTag
Swipe up or click Remove Item
Confirm by tapping or clicking Remove
Remove the battery by pressing down on the stainless steel back and rotating it counterclockwise
Reinsert the battery until you hear a sound
Repeat removing and reinserting the battery four more times
On the fifth insertion, wait for a different sound
Close the AirTag by aligning the back cover and rotating it clockwise until it locks
Pair the AirTag again by holding it near your iPhone and following the on-screen steps
