Open the Chromebook sign-in screen
Click Forgot password? if available
Follow the on-screen account recovery steps
Use your Google Account recovery page to reset the password
Enter your recovery email or phone number
Verify your identity with the code sent by Google
Create a new Google Account password
Return to the Chromebook and sign in with the new password
If the Chromebook is managed by a school or work account, contact the administrator
If you cannot recover the account, perform a factory reset from the sign-in screen by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R
Select Restart
Select Powerwash
Follow the prompts to reset the Chromebook
Sign in again with your Google Account after the reset
