How To Make Cornish Hens?

Preheat the oven to 400°F

Pat the Cornish hens dry

Remove any giblets from the cavity

Place the hens in a roasting pan

Brush with melted butter or oil

Season inside and out with salt and pepper

Add optional herbs, garlic, lemon, or paprika

Tie the legs together if desired

Roast for 45 to 60 minutes

Baste once or twice during cooking if desired

Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the thigh

Remove from the oven

Let rest for 10 to 15 minutes

Serve whole or halved
