Back up your data
Shut down the Macintosh
Restart and hold Command + R to enter Recovery Mode
Select Disk Utility
Choose your startup disk
Click Erase
Confirm the erase
Quit Disk Utility
Select Reinstall macOS
Follow the on-screen instructions
Set up the Macintosh after installation
