Back up all important files to an external drive or cloud storage
Sign out of all accounts and deactivate software licenses if needed
Plug in the laptop to power
Open Settings
Go to System or Update & Security
Select Recovery
Choose Reset this PC or Reset this laptop
Select Remove everything for a full factory reset
Choose Local reinstall or Cloud download if prompted
Follow the on-screen instructions
Confirm the reset
Wait for the laptop to restart and complete the reset
Set up the laptop again after the reset finishes
