Remove the chair seat or cushion from the frame
Take photos of the chair before disassembly
Remove the old fabric using a staple remover or flathead screwdriver
Save the old fabric to use as a template
Inspect the foam, batting, and seat board for damage
Replace worn foam or batting if needed
Cut new batting to size
Cut new upholstery fabric with extra allowance around the edges
Center the fabric over the seat
Pull the fabric tight and staple one side
Pull the opposite side tight and staple it
Repeat for the remaining sides
Fold corners neatly and staple them securely
Trim excess fabric
Reattach the seat or cushion to the chair frame
Check for wrinkles, loose areas, or uneven corners
Tighten any screws or hardware if needed
