How To Roast A Whole Chicken In A Roaster?

Preheat the roaster to 350°F

Remove the chicken from the packaging

Pat the chicken dry with paper towels

Remove the giblets if present

Season the chicken inside and out with salt, pepper, and any desired spices

Place the chicken breast-side up on the roasting rack

Add onions, carrots, or celery to the roaster if desired

Cover the roaster with the lid

Roast until the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the thigh

Check the temperature with a meat thermometer

Remove the chicken from the roaster

Let the chicken rest for 10 to 15 minutes

Carve and serve
