You generally cannot see an unsent iPhone message after it has been unsent
Check the notification preview if it appeared before the message was unsent
Check your Apple Watch or other connected devices if they displayed the message
Ask the sender to resend the message
Check if the message was saved in a screenshot or screen recording
Review any app backups or exports if you already had them enabled
Check other messaging apps or email if the sender may have sent it there instead
