Create a TikTok account using an email address, Apple ID, Google account, or another supported sign-in method instead of a phone number
Open the profile of the person you want to message
Tap the Message or envelope icon if direct messages are enabled
If the message option is not available, check whether both accounts follow each other
Make sure your account is set to an age that meets TikTok’s messaging requirements
Go to Privacy settings and confirm that Direct Messages are allowed
Ask the other person to enable messages from you if their privacy settings block them
Use comments, video replies, or mentions if direct messaging is unavailable
Link an email address to your account for account recovery and verification instead of adding a phone number
