Place the drum throne where you can sit centered behind the kit
Set the throne height so your thighs slope slightly downward and your feet rest comfortably on the pedals
Position the bass drum directly in front of you
Attach the bass drum pedal and align the beater with the center of the drumhead
Place the snare drum between your legs, slightly left of center for right-handed setup
Adjust the snare height so the drumhead sits near your waist and can be struck comfortably
Set the hi-hat stand to the left of the snare for right-handed setup
Place the hi-hat pedal where your left foot can operate it naturally
Mount the hi-hat cymbals and adjust their spacing
Position the rack toms above the bass drum or on a stand within easy reach
Angle the rack toms slightly toward you
Place the floor tom to your right for right-handed setup
Adjust the floor tom height so it is easy to strike without overreaching
Mount the ride cymbal on the right side within comfortable reach
Mount the crash cymbal above and slightly to the left or right of the rack toms
Adjust all cymbal angles for easy striking and control
Check that all stands are stable and tightened securely
Sit at the kit and test reach to every drum and cymbal
Make small adjustments until all pieces feel balanced and comfortable
Ensure pedals move freely and do not wobble
Verify that the setup allows relaxed posture and natural arm movement
