Choose an internet plan
Place your order online, by phone, or in a Spectrum store
Receive your self-install kit or schedule professional installation
Unbox the modem, router, cables, and power adapter
Connect the coax cable from the wall outlet to the modem
Plug in the power adapter and turn on the modem
Wait for the modem lights to stabilize
Connect the router to the modem if using a separate router
Plug in the router and wait for it to power on
Connect your device to the WiFi network name on the router label
Open a browser and follow the activation prompts if needed
Sign in to your Spectrum account to complete activation
Rename your WiFi network and set a new password if desired
Test the internet connection on multiple devices
Contact Spectrum support if activation or connection fails
