Open Instagram and find the post you want to share
Tap the paper airplane icon below the post
Select a person or group to send it to in Direct Message
Tap Send
To share to your story, tap the paper airplane icon
Tap Add post to your story
Edit the story if needed
Tap Your story to post it
To copy the post link, tap the three dots on the post
Tap Link or Copy link
Paste the link where you want to share it
To share externally, use the app’s share options or paste the copied link elsewhere
