Remove seeds from a ripe lemon
Rinse seeds thoroughly to remove all pulp
Soak seeds in water for 24 hours
Peel off the outer seed coat if desired
Place seeds between damp paper towels
Put paper towels in a sealed plastic bag or container
Keep the seeds warm and out of direct sunlight
Check moisture regularly and keep towels damp
Wait for roots to emerge
Plant sprouted seeds in a small pot with moist potting mix
Cover lightly with soil
Keep soil evenly moist
Place the pot in a warm, bright location
Transplant when the seedling grows larger
