Connect your Xbox Series X to an Atmos-capable TV, soundbar, AV receiver, or headset
Turn on the Xbox Series X
Press the Xbox button on the controller
Go to Profile & system
Select Settings
Select General
Select Volume & audio output
Under Speaker audio, set HDMI audio to Bitstream out
Set Bitstream format to Dolby Atmos for home theater
If using headphones, install the Dolby Access app from the Microsoft Store
Open Dolby Access
Follow the setup prompts
In the Xbox audio settings, set Headset format to Dolby Atmos for headphones
Make sure your TV or receiver supports Dolby Atmos
Enable eARC or ARC on your TV if required
Use a high-speed HDMI cable
Update the Xbox system software if prompted
Update your TV, soundbar, or receiver firmware if needed
Test audio with an Atmos-compatible game, movie, or app
