Check that your TV or monitor supports HDR
Use the original Xbox Series X HDMI cable or a certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable
Connect the console directly to the TV or monitor
Try a different HDMI port on the display
Enable HDR in the TV or monitor settings
Set the TV or monitor to Game Mode if available
Go to Xbox Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes and enable Allow HDR10
Go to Xbox Settings > General > TV & display options > 4K TV details and verify HDR support
Set the correct resolution and refresh rate in TV & display options
Restart the Xbox Series X
Power cycle the console and display
Update the Xbox system software
Update the TV or monitor firmware
Disable any HDMI-CEC or picture enhancement settings on the display
Reset the display picture settings to default
Test with another HDR-capable game or app
Reinstall or update the game if HDR is broken in one title
Clear the Xbox cache by fully powering off and unplugging the console for a few minutes
Remove and re-add the display from the TV settings if available
Try a factory reset of the Xbox while keeping games and apps
Contact Xbox Support or the TV manufacturer if the issue continues
