Load the dishes and make sure nothing blocks the spray arms
Add detergent to the dispenser
Close the dishwasher door firmly
Press the Power or On/Off button
Select the desired wash cycle
Select any extra options if needed
Press Start
If the dishwasher does not start, close the door fully and press Start again
If needed, hold the Start button for a few seconds on some Frigidaire models
Wait for the cycle to begin and the indicator lights to confirm it is running
