Open McAfee
Go to Settings or General Settings and Alerts
Turn off alerts, notifications, and promotional messages
Disable WebAdvisor popups if installed
Open Windows Settings
Go to System, then Notifications
Turn off notifications for McAfee
Open Task Manager
Go to the Startup tab
Disable McAfee startup items
Open Control Panel
Go to Programs and Features
Uninstall McAfee if you do not want it installed
Restart your computer
Check your browser extensions
Remove McAfee-related extensions if present
Open your browser settings
Turn off site notifications from McAfee pages
Run a full system scan if you suspect unwanted software
Keep Windows and security software updated
