Insert fresh batteries into the Roku remote
Turn on the Roku device and TV
Point the remote at the Roku device
Press and hold the pairing button inside the battery compartment for 3 to 5 seconds
Wait for the pairing light to flash
Release the button when the light starts flashing
Wait for the Roku device to detect the remote
Follow any on-screen pairing prompts
If the remote does not pair, remove the batteries and repeat the steps
If needed, restart the Roku device and try pairing again
For a simple infrared remote, make sure nothing blocks the Roku device and press buttons directly toward it
