Connect your iPhone to your MacBook with a USB cable
Unlock your iPhone and tap Trust if prompted
Open Finder on your MacBook
Select your iPhone in the Finder sidebar
Click the Info tab
Check Sync contacts onto [your device]
Choose All contacts or Selected groups
Click Apply or Sync
Open System Settings on your MacBook
Click Apple ID
Click iCloud
Turn on Contacts
On your iPhone, open Settings
Tap your name
Tap iCloud
Turn on Contacts
Make sure both devices use the same Apple ID
Open the Contacts app on your MacBook
Click Contacts in the menu bar
Click Accounts
Add your email account if your contacts are stored in Gmail, Outlook, or another service
Turn on Contacts for that account on both devices
Open Settings on your iPhone
Tap Contacts
Tap Accounts
Select the account that contains your contacts
Turn on Contacts
Open Contacts on your MacBook
Wait for iCloud sync to complete
Check that the contacts appear on both devices
