Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a USB cable
Unlock your iPhone and tap Trust if prompted
Open the Photos app on your Mac
Select your iPhone under Devices or Import in the sidebar
Choose the photos you want to sync or import
Click Import Selected or Import All New Photos
Wait for the transfer to finish
To sync automatically, turn on iCloud Photos on your iPhone and Mac
On iPhone, go to Settings > Photos > iCloud Photos and turn it on
On Mac, go to System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Photos and turn it on
Make sure both devices are signed in with the same Apple ID
Keep both devices connected to Wi-Fi if using iCloud Photos
Check the Photos app on your Mac to confirm the photos appear
