Open Google Play Store and check Play Protect
Go to Play Store profile icon
Tap Play Protect
Run a scan
Review any warnings or detected harmful apps
Check Settings for unusual battery use
Check Settings for unusual data usage
Review installed apps for anything unfamiliar
Uninstall suspicious apps
Restart the phone in Safe Mode
Scan with a trusted antivirus app from the Play Store
Check browser pop-ups and redirects
Clear suspicious app cache and data
Update Android system software
Update all apps from the Play Store
Remove unknown admin apps in Security settings
Check for unknown accessibility services enabled
Back up important data
Factory reset the device if problems continue
