Open Instagram and swipe right or tap Your story
Take a photo or video, or upload one from your gallery
Tap the sticker icon at the top
Select the Mention sticker
Type the person’s username
Choose the correct account from the list
Place the mention sticker where you want it on the story
Add any other edits you want
Tap Your Story or Close Friends to post
To tag someone with text, type @username in the story text tool
To tag multiple people, repeat the Mention sticker or @username for each person
