Restart the phone
Press and hold the Power button
Tap Restart
If Safe Mode stays on, turn the phone off
Remove the battery if your phone has a removable battery
Wait 30 seconds
Reinsert the battery
Turn the phone back on
Check for stuck volume buttons
Make sure no button is being held down during startup
Uninstall recently added apps
Clear the cache of suspicious apps
Update the phone software
Remove any connected accessories
If the phone is still in Safe Mode, perform a factory reset after backing up data
