Open the Camera app or Photo Booth
Click the shutter button to take a picture
Use the built-in FaceTime camera if available
Open a screenshot tool with Shift + Command + 5
Select the camera or screen capture option if needed
Save the photo when prompted
Open the Photos app to view the picture
