Follow the dosing instructions on each package or from your doctor
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose for either medicine
Tylenol is acetaminophen
Ibuprofen is an NSAID
You can take them together if needed and if it is safe for you
Take ibuprofen with food or milk if it upsets your stomach
Keep track of the time and amount of each dose
Do not take other medicines that also contain acetaminophen or ibuprofen
Avoid ibuprofen if you have a history of stomach ulcers, kidney disease, or certain heart problems unless your doctor says it is okay
Avoid acetaminophen if you have liver disease or heavy alcohol use unless your doctor says it is okay
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking blood thinners, or have other medical conditions
Get medical help if pain or fever is severe, lasts more than a few days, or comes with other concerning symptoms
