Female kittens usually have two openings closer together
Male kittens often show a round genital opening
Female kittens often show a vertical slit-shaped genital opening
Male kittens may have a slight bulge where the testicles will develop
Female kittens have a flatter area with no bulge
Compare the distance between the anus and genital opening
A larger gap usually indicates male
A smaller gap usually indicates female
